The Print - Buti is one of India’s most treasured traditional motifs, a flowing, ornate floral spray that has adorned Indian textiles for centuries, each one a little work of art in itself. In Bluebell Buti, that ancient pattern comes alive in the deep, dreamy blue of an English bluebell wood in May, one of the most fleeting, magical sights these islands have to offer. We took that beautiful pairing to Jaipur, where our patterns are brought to life using traditional wooden printing blocks, some hand-carved, some treasured vintage pieces passed down through generations of artisans, and pressed into pure cotton using vibrant, ethical dyes. The result is the Bluebell Buti Wash Bag, a luxury block-print accessory where two great traditions meet in the most beautiful way.
The Product - Beautiful enough to sit on your bathroom shelf, practical enough to travel the world with. This is a wash bag that does both without compromise, hand-printed in Jaipur by our skilled artisans, in a print that’s as individual as you are. The deep bluebell tones and intricate Buti motif make it a statement piece in its own right, while the fully waterproof inner keeps everything exactly where it should be. Every piece is slightly, beautifully different. The imperfections are the point. That’s what makes it yours.
The Mooch Detail - Designed with the details that matter. A fully waterproof inner with multiple pockets gives you generous storage for makeup, skincare, brushes, and all your essentials. A contrasting tassel zip and inside edge piping add a considered, luxurious finish, small touches, but they make all the difference. Made in extremely small batches to keep waste to a minimum and individuality to a maximum.
Tell Me The Other Detail - 100% Cotton. Hand printed and hand crafted in India. Width 25cm. Depth 15cm. Height 18cm. Cosmetic bags are also available in the same print.
To Keep Me Looking My Best - I love a cool, gentle wipe down. Block printing by hand means slight variations in pattern and colour, we think that’s what makes each one special. No two are ever the same… what story will yours tell?
